Coaches
Swimming:

We are excited to have Caroline Keating returning as the head swim coach for 2008. Last fall she finished her education degree at BGSU and was the student assistant coach for the Lady Falcons.

As a swimmer she broke 3 school records at BGSU, which she still currently holds. She was the captain of the team her senior year as well as the president of the Student-Athlete Council. In high school, she swam at St. Ursula and for the Cincinnati Marlins.

Since returning to Cincinnati, she substitute taught at St. Ursula for a month, and then in February she started teaching algebra full time at Roger Bacon. She is also currently the assistant track and field coach at Roger Bacon. Caroline is undecided about where she will be teaching next year, but she hopes to stay in Cincinnati.

This summer, along with coaching at MTLSC, she will be the assistant manager at the swim club. She will also be doing many math tutoring jobs over the summer...in case you need help!

We are happy to have Ellen Habel returning as an assistant swim coach, and we want to welcome Thomas Barnes, and Mara Russowho will also be assisting Caroline with the swim program. Ellen has been swimming with Mt. Lookout since she was 6. She volunteered for a year as an assistant coach, and this will be her third year working with the 8 & unders. She has been swimming with the Cincinnati Marlins since she was 7; she teaches swim lessons with the Marlins and occasionally helps coach younger swimmers. She is graduating from St. Ursula Academy this year and will be attending the University of Cincinnati next year in their Design, Art, Architectureand Planning College (DAAP) for Digital Design.

Thomas has been swimming for 12 years; he swam for 11 years with the Anderson Barracudas, and has been swimming with the Cincinnati Marlins for the last year. He will be graduating from St. Xavier High School this year, and he plans to swim at Purdue University next year.

Mara has been a Mt. Lookout Killer Whale since she was eight. She will be a senior next fall at St. Ursula Academy and has been on their varsity team every year. She has been club swimming for eight years and is currently training with the Cincinnati Marlins. This is also her third summer working at Mt. Lookout, and this summer she is looking forward to helping the younger swimmers!

Diving:

We are excited to welcome Kristina and Lauren Jenny as co-coaches for the diving team this summer. Kristina and Lauren began their diving careers at Dive Cincinnati with Steve Voellmecke when Lauren was 6 and Kristina was 9. Kristina and Lauren continued their diving careers throughout high school at Dixie Heights High School in Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky, where both served as Diving Team Captain during their junior and senior years. After graduating from Dixie Heights, Kristina continued diving at the collegiate level for Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky, from which she graduated in 2004.

In addition to being divers, Lauren and Kristina also enjoy coaching diving. Kristina began coaching at age 16 for Ludlow-Bromley Swim Club and went on to serve as assistant coach for Five Seasons Sports Club in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. After leaving Five Seasons, Lauren and Kristina teamed up to coach Beechwood Swim Club in Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky. With Kristina serving as Head Coach and Lauren as Assistant Coach, the club was able to maintain their status as Northern Kentucky Swim League Champions and the diving team grew from 20 divers to nearly 50 over the four years the Jenny's were there.

Since leaving Beechwood Swim Club, Lauren received her Bachelors degree from Auburn University in May of 2007. She currently attends graduate school at Xavier University where she is pursuing a Masters degree in Health Services Administration.

Kristina also attended Xavier University, where she completed her Masters degree in Education in May of 2007. While enrolled full time at Xavier, Kristina served as the assistant diving coach for Kenton County High School Diving Team, helping to manage the three high school diving teams within Kenton County. After completing her Masters, Kristina was hired by Campbell County Schools to serve as the Art Teacher at Reiley Elementary and is currently working at Reiley. For the upcoming school year (2008-2009), Kristina has been named as the head diving coach for St. Henry District High School in Erlanger, Kentucky.

Kristina and Lauren look forward to serving Mt. Lookout Swim Club and take great pride in their coaching. It is important to them to teach the fundamentals of diving in a safe environment while still having fun.
